HISTORY. The National Socialist People’s Welfare Organization is best know for running the Winterhilfswerk (Winter Relief of the German People). They started as a small NSDAP organization operating exclusively in Berlin in 1931. After the Hitler ascended to become the chancellor in January 1933, Hitler quickly made the NSV a national organization and by 1935 they were the second largest NSDAP organization with over 5 million members (RAD was first).

Super RARE. With the NSV emblem located on the front. Acceptance stamp on the inside the upper flap along with the hand written name of the previous owner. Maker mark on top is very interesting, “Reichsjugendfuhrung Berlin Ausrustungsamt Feldscherwesen”…translated - Reich Youth Leadership Berlin Equipment Office Medical Services. Was this Hitler Youth (HJ) organization providing medical kits for the NSV? Excellent++ condition.
