This German Railway Visor Cap is a scarce and very interesting wartime piece, with a really attractive look. The cap is made of a blue wool blend. The cap shows only very light, even wear, with no moth damage, but a small wear spot in the rear of the upper exterior and a repair in the rear (see picture, but it doesn’t show). The blue wool as well as the red piping retain bright original color, and the original large Railway pattern German national eagle and swastika emblem is intact, with attractive patina. The black velvet cap band features a simple national colors cockade. The patent leather visor is in exceptional condition. The leather chin band appears to be a replacement. Inside, this cap has an intact original leather sweat band, but is missing the dome cover. Overall the visor shows very well.
