Exterior constructed of dark brown leather, with housings for the telephone receivers stitched in place on both sides. The front has two leather chinstraps. There are clips stitched in place on either side that would have held the elasticized strap designed to secure the oxygen mask in place, along with a single leather tab housing a light brown plastic button protruding from a slot beside each of the clips, towards the rear of the helmet. The rear has two vertical straps with snap closures stitched in place on either side of the central wide panel, the panel with a rectangular-shaped clip to house the missing elasticized strap, along with a hole at the bottom where the missing microphone strap once inserted into the helmet. The interior is lined in supple sheepskin, with leather padding around the ears. The Siemens manufacturer's label in blue embroidered text is stitched in place at the rear between the receivers, the label inscribed "Fl. Kopfhaube Gr. / Baumuster LKpW101 / Gerät-Nr. 124-436A / Werk Nr. -/ / Anf. Z. Ln26618 / Siemens /Lieferer: Luftfahrt- / gerätewerk Hakenfelde / GmbH". Stitching intact throughout, with scuffing on the leather housings of the receivers, along with light wear overall.
