These privately printed notices (done at the family's expense) were handed out at the soldier's memorial service and mailed to friends and relatives. Each has a uniform photo of the soldier along with some information about his service, medals if any, where was born and killed etc.

This notice reads: Lance Corporal in a heavy infantry regiment, Sepp Grabner. Was awarded the Infantry Assault Badge in silver, the Wound Badge and the East Front Medal, has died the heroic death for his home country on Apr 4, 1944 at the age of 24 years in the southern part of the East Front.
