HISTORY. Veteran “Bring Back” by Roland Fletcher of Rootstown, Ohio. Joined the Army when he was just 18 yrs old and went ashore in Normandy and a member of the 479 Engineering Battalion. Received a Bronze Star & a Purple Heart. Retired 25 years later as a Colonel. The family told me that this cased Mother’s Cross and a NSDAP Banner (separate listing) have been packed away since their father had returned from WW2.
