HISTORY. The Austrian First World War Commemorative Medal was awarded to those Austrians who served in the armed forces of the Austro-Hungarian Empire during the First World War, 1914-1918.

Constructed of a round bronze medal, with the obverse depicting an Austrian eagle supported on an Austrian coat of arms, circumscribed “FÜR ÖSTERREICH” (Germany - For Austria). The reverse is dated “1914-1918” within an oak wreath. Suspended from its original tri-fold ribbon. Excellent++
