Constructed of dark navy blue wool, incorporating a wide band in black velvet and a traditional high peak, with magenta piping along the top edge and flanking either side of the band is all mint condition. The front has a Fire Police eagle badge with a cockade above.  The black leather chin strap is a replacement.  The laminated plastic (vulcanfibre) visor has a smooth black patent leather-look upper and has a butterscotch colored underside and is MINT. The inside has a light tan leather sweatband that is cracked in several places and missing approximately 15%.  The dome itself has a greenish cotton liner, with several small holes.  Maker marked “Hans Oldag, Berlin.  Hand marked size of “54”. Overall the visor is Excellent ++.
