This is a rare Luftwaffe Ordnance/Signals NCO’s Visor Cap.   The exterior shell is constructed of high quality Luftwaffe-gray wool with correct brown-orange colored piping.  The cap band itself is constructed of woven and interlaced black rayon.  The visor is created out of laminated plastic (Vulkanfiber), lacquered black on the upper and green on the lower side. The insignias consist of a silvered aluminum Luftwaffe cap eagle on the peak and an oak leaf wreath with stylized wings and cockade on the band.  The black smooth finished leather chin strap rests upon the visor. The inside of the cap has a wide tan leather sweatband and is lined with a tan colored rayon and is maker marked, “Christian Haug, Berlin” and size “60”. This cap appears worn, but with minimal discoloration.  A few nips to the exterior and some scuffing of the visor.  Overall it is very representative of a very hard to find visor.  Excellent+.
