The circular "coffee can" style top is secured by a row of horizontal stitching. Each side of the shako body has two, small, screened ventilation holes. The shako has a black leather chinstrap with dual, aluminum, sliding, length adjustment buckles and aluminum retaining rings and posts. The underside of the visor and neck guard are synthetic and finished in forest green. The inside comes with its original paneled leather liner, with two panels missing along with the leather drawstring. The dome is stamped with the size stamped "55 1/2". Overall Excellent++.
