A textbook example for a pre-war manufacture RAD (Reichsarbeitsdienst/Reich Labor Service) field cap; constructed of olive-green wool and contrasting brown stitching along the side panels. On each side, the cap features small brown air vents. The front center of the field cap features a single insignia with a machine woven logo of the RAD.  The insignia is original to the cap and appears to be hand stitched to the cap. The interior is lined with an off-white/champagne colored cotton, with one stamp that is too faded to read. A totally complete worn example without any major flaws on the outside, with some black staining on the inside and some rust spots on the cotton liner from age. Overall Excellent++.
