The banner is approximately 48” x 128”. Multi-piece construction of cotton & rayon materials and 2 sided. The banner is stenciled in several locations “Eigentum der Stadt Schweinfort” (Property of the city of Schweinfort). The banner shows scattered snags and small holes and retains its original attachment channels which shows they have been torn off of a staff. A rare banner that officially shows its origin. Interesting that Schweinfort was the location of the disastrously famous B-17 raids on their ball bearing factories. Great piece of history. Overall in Excellent condition.
