Germany. Kriegsmarine "Reichskriegsflagge" Battle Flag, Version 1
$595.00
The flag is a large example of the first version (1935-1937) of the Reichskriegsflagge and measures approximately 98" x 59”. It is made of two-sided printed wool with reinforcement stitching around the edges and is complete with its rope attachments on the hoist edge. The hoist edge is also well-marked “Kr. Fl. 250 × 150” (Kriegsmarine Flag 250cm x 150cm), Kriegsmarine eagle over the letter “M” (for Kriegsmarine), and the maker "Johann Liebleg & Comp., Reichenberg, Sudetenland”. The flag shows numerous numerous small moth nips overall, but retains bright and vivid color. Overall an Excellent+ example.
