German. NSDAP Ortsgruppe Nurnberg Garrison Standard
Nurnberg (now spelled Nuremberg), the “Home of the Nazis” & home of the famous Nazi Rallies. A very well-preserved NSDAP Ortsgruppe Nurnberg flag, constructed of red cotton twill, both the obverse and reverse bearing a white cotton disk, overlaid with a black cotton mobile swastika, the upper interior corner of both the obverse and reverse with a rectangular light brown cotton patch bearing a hand-embroidered inscription of “NSDAP ORTSGRUPPE Nurnberg Wohrd”. Three of the four edges adorned with 2 1/4" gold bullion wire tassels, the interior edge with seven integrated cotton loops
with medal rings. Unmarked, measuring 55” x 48, small stains, a few small tears and soiling. I wonder how many times Hitler held this standard against the “Blood Flag”? Excellent++
