Germany. Himmler's Mistress Shotgun

$15,000.00

HISTORY. In 1939, Hedwig Potthast became secretary to Heinrich Himmler, Reichsfuhrer SS. Shortly there after they began an affair that didn’t end until Himmler committed suicide at the end of WW2. During their six (6) year affair, Potthast had two children father by Himmler. In April 1945, Capt. Linus LeTang was given the task of searching several high ranking Nazis houses in the town of Tegerness, Germany (20 miles south of Munich). One of the houses Capt LeTang’s group searched was Himmler’s and he left the house with two weapons, a Walther PP and this shotgun. Then when LeTang filled out his official “Capture Document” he took the extraordinary step of including not just the weapon and serial number, but where the two weapons were found “SS chief Himmler residence”. The last piece of the puzzle is found with Hedwig Potthast’s engraved initials on the shotgun itself, “HP”. It’s very rare that such a high level relic shows up with such incredible documentation.

The shotgun is a side-by-side 16 gauge, manufactured by W. Collath & Sohn, Frankfurt, Germany. The company went out of business in 1941, due to the Allies bombing of Frankfurt. It’s a beautiful gun, with all of its engraving and checkered wood stock. Overall condition is Excellent++. This is your change to own a high level WW2 conversation piece that will amaze your friends!
