This Police Bayonet is a near MINT example. The pommel & crossguard show little wear with excellent hand enhancements. The reverse crossguard is engraved, “S.D.IV. 716” with the S.D. standing for Schutzopolizei Dusseldorf. The grip plates are high-quality antler and are MINT. A beautiful high-quality nickel plated cut-down 13” blade with the maker, “S.D. Luneschloss, Solingen” engraved on the reverse ricasso. The scabbard shell is extremely nice, with fine brown leather and high quality nickel mounts. A MINT frog is attached to the scabbard and an original troddel tops off a beautiful bayonet.
