A gorgeous 23” cutlass with MINT stag grips and a dedication to Major Stoeber. Everything about this hunting cutlass says that it has been a cherished possession of its previous owners. The entire hilt is MINT. Beautiful double sided engraved blade with a few very small scratches that show rust. A near MINT scabbard, only a few small scratch on the black leather. Dedication reads “Honorary Award to the Honorary Major Stoeber, Schafstadt (Germany, just west of Leipzig) 1926”. No makers mark, but both sides of the racisso are neatly engraved with “Ges. Geschutzt”. Great display piece!
