HISTORY. Organization Todt (OT), was originally established in July 1933 under Dr. Fritz Todt, an NSDAP member since 1923 and a construction engineer, who had just recently been appointed as General Inspector of Roads. Over the years, the OT was put in charge of most every large construction project, including the fortifications on the West Wall, U-Boat pens in France, the West Wall and the Atlantic Wall. March 1940 Dr. Todt was also appointed as Minister of Munitions & Armament. In Feb 1942 he was killed in a mysterious aircraft crash.

This is a BeVo pattern grey cotton/rayon construction sleeve band. To its front is machine woven "Org. Todt (Organization Todt). Maker marked as "BeVo Wuppertal". Besides being a sleeve band these where also attached to the top of the standard NSDAP armband for OT members (One of these is listed in this same grouping). Unissued & MINT.
