HISTORY. This cuff-band (cufftitle) version was worn by both the Waffen-SS & the Germany Army until August 1942, when the Waffen-SS came up with their own version, “SS - Feldgendarmerie”.

Constructed of brown wool, hand embroidered silver wire threads that has a darkening patina spelling out “Feldgendarmerie” in Gothic style script and a bright aluminum wire edging. Appears very early construction. Very rare.
