Constructed of silvered and patinated tombac, two-piece construction, consisting of a laurel and oak wreath tied together at the base via three ribbons, with a large eagle clutching a mobile swastika superimposed on the badge.  The reverse shows two domed rivets securing the eagle to the wreath, with a vertical needle pin, and a functional hinge/catch assembly; maker marked with “BSW” the logo of the Gebrüder (Bruder) Schneider of Wein.  A beautiful early Pilot Badge.
