Constructed of silvered bronze, the obverse consisting of an oval oak leaf wreath, joined together at the bottom by a stylized belt and buckle around a raised letter “R”, with a central depiction of a mounted horse, the reverse with a barrel hinge and vertical pinback meeting a flattened catch, maker marked “L. CHR. LAUER, NÜRNBERG” on one side of the badge and, “Gesetzlich Geschutzt” on the other. Excellent++
